Do you have any Jally hcs you can share with the class?

I’m gonna try and conjure a few up because they make me so insane.

Dallas went to the “if he’s mean that means he likes you” school of ‘flirting’. So him being somewhat more rough house heavy with Johnny over anyone else is him trying to be affectionate. (I hope I don’t have to clarify this ‘mean’ isn’t genuine and different from his actual- ok.)

Sort of an open secret to the rest of the gang apart from ponyboy. That being no outwardly addressing anything or hiding more than usual. Everyone minds their own business- apart from pony being a little oblivious (for crying out loud it took them dying for him to be like oh.)

Dallas helped Johnny make plans to run away before. They never go anywhere but he’d prefer him getting out to him getting hurt or offing himself. In the end Johnny always stays, either for himself, the gang or Dally but if he was ever serious about it he’d be helped in a heart beat (might be a fic)

Proximity. Sometimes it’s enough to be in the same area, sometimes they’ll be like— you know how dogs like sleep in a pile? Like that.

Both of them are very dog coded to me for different reasons and that might be a post in itself but �� Dally loves in the way a guard dog loves.

Adding to that… bonded pair, do not separate…

Because of their upbringing neither of them know how to show/take affection. The gang loosely taught them but it’s not exactly the same. They try (will be a post)

Johnny likes to mess with Dally’s hair in private. It’s much softer and less sticky than his own as he doesn’t use a lot of product.

Johnny is sort of the only one not afraid to speak his mind to him. He isn’t sure if it’s because he has some sort of special status or what- and Dally likes it as most people aren’t honest with him. (Granted because he’d probably sock them but)

recently, at the young women’s leadership summit in dallas, charlie kirk told a 14 year old girl who was asking him about the merits of attending college if your eventual goal is to be in the field of politics/political science that she should go to college to get her ‘MRS’ degree. for anyone unfamiliar, the term ‘MRS’ degree was widely used in the 1950s and 1960s when higher education was finally made more available to women but social and cultural norms were pressing the nuclear family and housewife agenda. a woman seeking an ‘MRS’ degree is one who goes to college just to find a husband while she’s there. the goal of her education is not considered professional or academic. because why would a woman seek out higher education for any other reason?

don’t make me fucking sick. i did a report on a francis fukuyama book in high school where my focus was on the social revolution started by the wide availability of birth control, and how it allowed women to reclaim educational and economic autonomy. that was when i first came across the term ‘MRS’ degree and i remember thinking it was such a stupid relic of the near past. how dare they attempt to bring this shit back into the mainstream. now??? now when women make up the MAJORITY of the incoming freshman class at american post-secondary institutions?

i knew the tradwife trends were insidious, but i could not imagine that i would be scrolling on tiktok and have the words “go for the MRS degree” pop up in 2025. the people who need to hear this will never see this but just in the case that there are people who want to hear this: study. get excellent in your field. be the top of your discipline. save lives. find and research things no one has ever thought of before. code solutions to the everyday problems. build sustainable infrastructure. keep learning, and teach the people who come your way. and fuck anyone who thinks a woman isn’t capable of this, or shouldn’t have lofty goals.

Everything Has Changed

Taylor told Digital Spy: "It's about falling in love. It's about meeting someone and all of a sudden your entire perspective on the world changes - you're thinking for two, instead of one." It was written the week starting 20 May 2012, after Harry arrived in LA.

Music Video

The scene where the class is watching a move these are scenes of Paris, a hint toward Begin Again and Paris being special to Harry and Taylor. Eiffel Tower, Pont Alexandre III - Bridge over the Seine appear.

The school play scene is reminiscent of Harry's actual first performance in a school play when he was 6, Harry also recreated part of this in the Daylight Music Video.

It's full of adorable moments where the two kids, (who return for the Joker and the Queen) where the boy and girl are apart from other kids in their own private world. The tent scene is later in Willow:

The little boy reads the Notebook, Harry's favourite movie to the girl. The girl is doing embroidery (!! very loml coded! LK does too)

The girl tattoos the boy, as is in IKYWT and reality Taylor was there when Harry got the ship tattoo.

The kids communicate by text, rather like two pop stars who live in different countries would and do, such as this famous VMA exchange, and the letter exchange in the Delicate video.

The Taylors Version Lyric Video also uses Pink & Blue text and butterflies.

Taylor performed it with Ed on the Red Tour. It wasn't played on the 1989 or Reputation tours. It was a surprise song, with TIWWCHNT, on 22 July 2023, the date of Harry's final Love on Tour show.

The secret message is "Hyiannis Port" rather than "Hyannis Port". The additional 'I' may be a typo - but knowing Taylor's attention to detail I think it is "H-and-I" Harry signs short messages 'H' and 'y' Spanish 'and'.

This secret message is often thought to indicate Conor Kennedy, However Taylor met Connor 4 July 2012, 2 months after the song was recorded. Taylor owned the house in Hyannis Port house from August 2012 - March 2013, she was dating Harry for almost all of that time. As in Alex and Sierra's I Love You and August they spent time there.

Doors are a Haylor Theme

Butterflies - while butterflies were key in the artwork for Lover and appear in spotify canvases for it, Taylor only refers to them twice - in this song and Clean. "When the butterflies turned to dust that covered my whole room" Harry referenced in Olivia "The summertime and butterflies / All belong to your creation / I love you, it's all I do". He also has a large butterfly tattoo on his chest.

Flight is also a Haylor theme

Dallas has been having difficulty. Everyone knows him as Dirk Dreamer's son or Morgan Dreamer's son. He has his own passions and wants to create something better for himself. Dallas is obsessed with music. His parents are not aware that he quit soccer and has been confided to him room making mixtapes.

Music is his world. He's mastered singing, piano, violin, and guitar. He's top of his music classes.

He keeps so much in but he's been sending his tracks off to a bunch of music labels. He's on another level.

Music is his life. As he burns his latest track, he sends it off to his last hope: Maxis Music Machine. He heads downstairs and spots Drew at the table.

Drew: *whispers* Are you still making music Dally? Dallas: *nods and winks* Drew: *whispers* Can I come and listen again?

Dallas: Anytime, bestie. Drew: *grins* I got your back. Dallas: Stop by after mom and dad go to sleep.

Drew: *singing* Say something! Have my back, say it to my face... Dallas: Shhh... Drew! Drew: I love that song! It's so good!

Dallas: Thanks but remember... mom and dad don't know. You gotta keep our secret. Drew: I know... But it's hard! Dallas: In due time! Drew: *groans*

Drew: *singing again* Dallas: Stop.

Morgan walks in the dining room and smiles at them.

Morgan: What song is that you're singing? I haven't heard that one before. Drew: *glances at Dallas* I just heard it. Morgan: Where? Dallas: *sighs* It's a song... that I wrote Ma. Morgan: Really?

Dallas nods shyly. Morgan sits down and listens at how easily Dallas talks about his music. He even takes his phone out to play the song for his mom. She smiles widely and fully invests in him.

Morgan: Thank you for sharing that with me Dallas. I am so proud of you. Dallas: Thanks Ma. I just want to be known for me. Morgan: And you will be... but next time, can I please be told the secrets? I thought I was your number 1 girl. Drew: MAMA! Morgan: Drew. I was here first. Dallas: *laughs* Well let me go take my bestie to play the switch. Drew: YES!

They get up from the table and walk to the living room. Drew stops him before they sit down.

Drew: I'm your favorite, right? Me?

Dallas: Yes, Drew. You're my favorite. Drew: Great, now let's play!

Later that night, Dallas sits at the piano playing and writing lyrics for his newest song. His phone rings and it is an unknown number from a San Myshuno area code.

Dallas: Hello?

Dallas: Are you serious? YES THIS IS MY DREAM! THANK YOU!!

Dallas hangs up the phone and screams. Morgan and Dirk come out of their room quickly. Dallas tells them what happened and they cheer in the living room celebrating.

In the weeks following, Dallas' world changes. He flies out to San Myshuno with his mom to sign contacts and talk business with the producers.

He songs even goes #1 on the Sim Billboard. Morgan gets him in the studio immediately and begins styling him for his image. They spend days in the studio and weeks travelling the world.

It wasn't a very big town — just enough to have its own zip code, a few neighborhoods within spitting distance of each other, more than one store, two movie theaters, three gas stations, two diners, and a host of various other locations solely meant to cater to the tourists that came through whether they be people entranced with the wildlife on Jay Mountain or wanting to indulge in skiing or other pursuit. abel was no lamb, he was my brother — When Darry had envisioned everything, the day that he brought Ponyboy home, he thought it would be something he would remember for the rest of his life. It was a simple fantasy, the only one he allowed himself in the years as leads went cold, as life wore on, as things went on. [chapter three & four]

rain or shine — There's a fascination to Ponyboy's gaze whenever Dallas does something that he deems very human, whether it be the small signals of Dallas' oncoming ruts or cutting his fingernails or recently, shaving his facial hair until it's more manageable if not gone; those things seem to fascinate him endlessly, tracking whenever they happen with surprise and interest that is more than odd for Dallas.

nocturnal animals — "You keep eating that burger like that and you're gonna choke," Dallas says, leaning back as Ponyboy continues to tear into it, the cigarette behind his ear sticking out. Snow continues to fall in a steady pace through the windows, making shadows on his face. [chapter four]

pathways — The flowers in Ponyboy's hair makes him resemble those hippies that Angela saw on television or saw in magazines, his hair so long that he could almost be mistaken for one of those people — except he has no message about Vietnam, has no words coming out of his mouth talking about a guru and she's starting to believe a snake would look at home with him.

radiant — It was all Ponyboy could do, to give her the little food he had. His mother, who'd been so radiant, so gold was now almost a husk of herself. For once, she didn't turn him down for the offer, eating slowly, quietly in the living room. It had been six long, lonely months in that prison and it showed on every inch of her.

fire in the sky — "Mr. Curtis, please see me after class," Mr. Syme says as he places Ponyboy's quiz down in front of him, face down. Shit, that wasn't good.

Ponyboy feels dread creeping up his spine as Mr. Syme continues to pass back the quizzes to everyone. The looks he's getting from other students vary from amused to concerned — pity, really. Being in an honors class did that and as soon as Mr. Syme gets to the front of the class, Ponyboy peeks at his paper.

A B- stares up at him. [chapter 79 to 81]

summer nights — The music keeps going in the barn, and Dallas keeps tasting like bourbon as Ponyboy keeps on kissing him, keeps on letting Dallas get his hand around Ponyboy's belt.

in the dollhouse — Tulsa, 1967. It's the last spring break before Ponyboy goes to college. He's got more worries than what he thought he'd have, including his relationship with Dallas Winston. All he wants to do is have one last party before he goes to a future he's more than earned.

Too bad that the boardgame he brought to the party is not just a boardgame. It's a matter of life and death, to play against Julian. And it's not just Ponyboy who's a player in this game, but the whole gang, or what's left of it. They just have to survive their own nightmares, one by one and hope they'll all wake up in the morning, the victors.

get busy living, or get busy dying — Six months after Johnny dies, the prodigal son of Tulsa comes back home. Dallas has never exchanged more than two sentences with him. High school e memory unlocked: During English class two boys in my class had a debate and they got a few others to bet on who would win. The loser would have to wear the winner’s girlfriend dress. The loser actually went through with this, and honestly? He seemed so happy to wear, even the girlfriend of the winner said he pulled it off better than she did.

I just think this is so Two-Bit and Dallas Coded. Because Two-Bit would NOT care bout wearing a dress the way Dallas would. If anything he’d continue to wear it out of comfort and spite.

Can't Get A Dial Tone

This is one of those days in which my Daily Blog topic falls in may lap. I already had something lined up, which I will delay for a day. There’s a much bigger thing happening right now, and if you are on AT&T, you might just not have any functionality with your phone.

I awoke to a text message from Oldest Daughter in Dallas, alerting me to the outage. Since she was still at home, she was on wifi, which is as good as having a cellular signal. But that’s where it ends.

As she was walking out the door to head downtown to work, she texted, “I’m at 0 bars of SOS.”

After she made way to her office, she had already discovered two major inconveniences—and dependencies—that can happen in this digital life.“Dang, it’s been annoying today. I had to go to a parking garage because I could’t open the QR code to pay, and then I couldn’t order Starbucks ahead of time so I have to wait in line. LOL.”

“First-world problems,” everybody said in unison. But they are problematic, and if service stays down for long, it could have a major effect on not just daily lives, but also business. In our increasingly cashless society, not to mention madly-in-love status with tap-to-pay, it could make dining out and shopping difficult.

We have become so dependent on our phones, and mostly for non-talking tasks, that it can be crippling to go very long without service. It reminds me of that hour two summers ago I experienced driving US 2 across Montana. I was on a reservation, and had zero bars for what seemed an eternity.

È lui stesso a narrarne le drammatiche sequenze in un “breve racconto d’estate” che, visto l’autore (il padre del padrone) e soprattutto la prosa (notevoli le virgole tra soggetti e verbi), Repubblica ha collocato in Cultura sotto lo straziante titolo “Sul treno per Foggia con i giovani ‘lanzichenecchi’”. L’orda barbarica che ha proditoriamente funestato il suo viaggio in prima classe era composta dal vicino, “un ragazzo di 16-17 anni, T-shirt bianca con scritta colorata, pantaloncini corti, zainetto verde e iPhone con cuffia per ascoltare musica”; e, nelle altre file, da “altri ragazzi della stessa età, vestiti più o meno allo stesso modo… Alcuni avevano in testa (anziché su un ginocchio o su un gomito, ndr) il classico cappello di tela con visiera da giocatore di baseball di colori diversi” e, quel che è peggio, “avevano tutti o le braccia o le gambe o il collo con tatuaggi piuttosto grandi”. Un dress code premeditato con cura dai manigoldi per molestare l’Elkann, che indossava, “malgrado il caldo, un vestito stazzonato di lino blu e una camicia leggera”. Il percorso Competenze STEM e multilinguistiche nelle scuole statali (D.M. 65/2023) – Protagonist of the future – M4C1I3.1-2023-1143-P-34865 – guidato dal docente (nonché giornalista) Prof. Salvatore Sorce, si è svolto in presenza nel periodo compreso tra il 17 febbraio e il 12 maggio 2025. FBI probing ‘fake’ social media posts

Experts say they appear designed to raise doubt about stabbing investigation

Frisco authorities investigating a fatal stabbing at a high school track meet are working with the FBI on a parallel inquiry into social media posts about the incident that falsely claim to be written by the city’s police chief, officials said Friday.

Experts who track online misinformation and disinformation said one post — apparently shared by a Facebook account using the name of Frisco police Chief David Shilson and displaying the department’s official logo — appeared designed to provoke readers on racial lines.

Police issued a statement Thursday afternoon saying investigators were aware of a “fake account” using Shilson’s name, advising the public to tune into official channels.

Officer Grant Cottingham, a police spokesperson, confirmed the post bearing the department’s logo was circulating online and said a concerned person flagged it to police.

“Criminal charges will be pursued,” the department’s statement read. Cottingham said those involved with drafting the post could be charged with online impersonation, which could be a Class A misdemeanor or a third-degree felony, depending on the case.

The investigation into the post comes after Frisco police say Austin Metcalf, a 17-year-old Frisco Memorial High School student, was stabbed Wednesday. Officers arrested Karmelo Anthony, a 17-year-old Frisco Centennial High School student, in Metcalf’s death on one count of murder, a first-degree felony.

Anthony remained in Collin County jail Saturday in lieu of a $1 million bond, according to jail records.

He told police he was acting in self-defense, according to a police report obtained by The Dallas Morning News.

An attorney listed as representing him did not immediately return messages seeking comment Friday.

The case has drawn widespread attention on social media, with posts on Facebook and X drawing millions of views and comments.

The post claiming to be from Shilson, dated Thursday, appeared as online discussions about the case were high.

‘Muddy the waters’

Jeffrey Layne Blevins, a University of Cincinnati professor who studies the effects of misinformation and disinformation online, reviewed the post at the request of The News.

He pointed to several “red flags,” including its long length compared with typical police statements released in the early days of an investigation, and its use of inflammatory language and phrasing.

Blevins added that, in some ways, the post was more sophisticated than other attempts at disinformation he has seen.

The post, for example, included the actual tip line used by the Frisco Police Department for the case, though it omitted the short-code needed for contacting the agency through text message.

The motive for what Blevins called “imposter posts” can sometimes be evident, but he said the post about the track incident was not as clear.

The post, in part, states the case was not “racially motivated.”

While it identifies Metcalf by name, it does not do so for Anthony, identifying him only as “suspect” and “black teen.”

Frisco police have not indicated that race was a factor in the case, nor did the officers who submitted narratives included in the police report reviewed by The News.

Metcalf is white.

Anthony is Black.

“It seems like the goal might have been to get people to react to this and maybe give false accounts,” Blevins said in an interview about the post’s inclusion of the tip line.

“It can really muddy the waters of the investigation.”

Cottingham, the police spokesperson, said he was not aware of any tips Frisco police received that referenced the post.

Police are working with social media platforms to have the posts taken down, he said.

Unsophisticated

Janet Johnson, a professor at the University of Texas at Dallas who studies social media’s influence on information, also reviewed the post.

She said she did not feel the post was as sophisticated, suggesting a wary reader would doubt a police chief would discuss an active investigation in such terms.

Johnson said the post uses odd language, including describing the incident as a “mutual combat brawl” and using the words like “bloggers” and “sucker punched” — all terms she said a department would not use in an official news release or in statement from the police chief.

She added that she thinks the author’s goal is to cause uncertainty and sow racial animus online.

“It’s about creating doubt,” Johnson said in a message to The News.

“That’s what propaganda, conspiracy theories are meant to do — create doubt. And if enough people read this and get mad, then they did their job.”

Blevins said the law enforcement investigation into the post was notable.

“You are taking a bit of a risk to impersonate police,” he said of the post.

“We’ll see how good their deception skills really are, depending on how far the police and the FBI take it in this case.”

No autopsy report

Another post circulating online Friday afternoon on X took a different approach, purporting to be a Collin County medical examiner report detailing autopsy results for Metcalf.

The false report was edited to be on Collin County letterhead, fit with phone numbers and the office address.

Metcalf’s autopsy report, in fact, had not been released as of Friday, Cottingham said.

A records request earlier in the day by The News for a copy was denied because the report “does not yet exist in this case.”

The police department put out a second statement late Friday, again advising the public be wary of information found online and outside of regular channels.

“At this time, the report has NOT been released,” the statement reads. “Therefore, any information currently found online is FALSE.” Katherine Chaumont, an FBI spokesperson, confirmed in a statement Friday that the federal agency was assisting Frisco police but said any updates on the investigation into the post posing as Shilson, the police chief, would come from local authorities.

The investigation was in its beginning stages. “It’s too early to say what the scope is,” Cottingham said.

Both teens then got into a mutual combat brawl after the white teen punched the suspect in the face and Austin got stabbed while that altercation was taking place. So the suspect did NOT randomly stab Austin in the heart after he was told he was sitting in the wrong spot as several bloggers online have inaccurately claimed. The suspect is claiming self-defense and a grand jury will determine if this was self- defense under Texas law. The suspect was charged with murder strictly as a preliminary measure before we knew any of the facts on what led to the stabbing. The charges could be reclassified, or downgraded as more evidence is reviewed. We will not allow bad actors try to create racial division in our community by spreading intentional misinformation.
